We assist with Mathematics, Physical Sciences, Life Sciences, English Home Language, and Afrikaans First Additional Language. Approximate grade levels (across curricula): 7-12.
Additionally, we offer a "Study Mastery" short course for students who need help with personalized strategies to study effectively for exams. We also offer focused academic coaching for students who do well academically, but need help with managing exam stress, time management, goal-setting, and managing a drifting mind. 

Absolutely! If you have a need for academic support - whether that be to develop time management skills, for accountability, or for subject-specific help - we'd be glad to assist. However, if you need a formal high school equivalency diploma, you'll need to enroll with an authorised institution. 

Thus, we partner with the HOOT Institute, a hybrid online/in-person micro school through whom you can get a General Education Development (GED) certificate. HOOT is an authorised Essential Education GED provider and, like ACE Learning, is committed to providing holistic, high-quality education. Completing it will give us more information about you, your needs, what you’ve tried before, and your contact details so that we can get in touch with you. It will also lead you to our booking page where you can book a Jumpstart Call. 

Similar to a "Discovery Call", a Jumpstart Call is a 20 to 30-minute appointment between the student and one of ACE Learning's team members. During this session, we'll listen to details of the students' needs, demonstrate how online lessons work, ask some introductory questions to help direct sessions, and review a brief Mutual Agreement to ensure that lessons run as smoothly as possible

This brief agreement between the student, educator, and parent/guardian (if applicable) covers the terms and conditions for online lessons, a brief code of conduct, and payment terms.

No. All sessions are exclusively online. Among the many benefits of online sessions are access to resources tailored to the students' needs, access to class notes and whiteboards 24/7, greater availability and greater comfort. If you are unsure of whether online lessons are suitable for you, we encourage you to book a Jumpstart Call to see how online lessons work. 

All sessions are prepaid. Sessions can be purchased as a package (which covers four weeks' worth of sessions) or individually via EFT or our secure online payment gateway, "Paystack". Purchased lessons do not expire (for example, if you purchase lessons before a holiday, they will still be valid after a holiday), however there are no refunds for unused sessions on packages, so please ensure that you purchase sessions wisely.
An updated Session Log is sent after every session to ensure that all parties are up to speed on how many sessions are remaining on the client's account. 

No. There was no harm in asking, though. 🙂  
The hourly rate of our bundles works out to less than the hourly rate of individual sessions. Should you require ongoing support, we recommend purchasing session bundles instead of individual sessions, as they are more cost-effective in the long-run.
