My son has struggled with Maths throughout his schooling career, it was an area he had the least confidence in. Levi came highly recommended and I am ever so grateful for this referral. Levi has supported my son to achieve his goal of passing maths and science, through instilling confidence in his abilities, focusing on his strengths and encouraging him to go beyond when things get tough. I am super impressed with Levi’s business model and well-structured lessons, constant feedback and professionalism. Thank you Levi your passion and skills, for what do you makes all the difference.

It is often the small things that help us grow into the version of ourselves that is most powerful. I decided, 3-years ago, that I wanted to improve my matric math mark. This decision terrified me. My final few years of high school, many years ago, were made really traumatic by a math teacher who cared only about marks, and not at all about enjoyment or pleasure in learning. Levi is a young, melanated man, who has taken the time to refine his offering to the world. He has over 10 years of experience. He is clear, gentle, warm and incredibly professional. I told him about the wounds that mathematics had left in me. I told him too, about how much I want to love numbers again. Levi has agreed to work with me, be my guide and support when the tears come, because they will come. It is beautiful to have reached a place in my life where, now, I am able to choose how to heal and support myself. The body holds so much. It is an injustice to restrict the body from healing. I am deeply excited to better myself, both personally and professionally, as I improve the way my mind holds and releases numbers. Right now, this is what my healing looks like. - Thola, Cape Town
In 2020, the world changed. “Normal” was no more. Schooling changed, and teaching changed. The buzz words were: remote learning, Microsoft Teams, OneDrive, Zoom meetings; alternate schooling days (we have class, we don’t have class); exams, tests; “power on”, “power off”. We all know, too well, the challenges we faced. I, as a grade 9 mom at the time, was all too aware of how daunting subject choices for grade 10 are, especially when it came to science and mathematics. When adding on the “New Normal” school stressors, we realized that we needed help. We thankfully found Levi with his calm, confident, excellent math and teaching skills. He helped bring back “normal”. He listened. He assessed. He knew what the challenges were and addressed them with confidence. The lessons were informative, interactive and not only focused on Mathematics and study skills, but also on life skills, setting goals, coaching beyond the classroom, creating awareness of further study.
Levi opened my son’s mind to beyond-the-classroom opportunities like coding and broader career choices. His immediate feedback after the lessons and his providing access to view their sessions and see my son’s progress always keeps us informed. It’s very refreshing. What makes a good educator? In my experience, in my son’s experience, it’s someone who gets you, someone who meets you halfway; someone who says, “I know your challenges”; someone who comes up with different teaching methods to meet the child’s learning style. Thank you, Levi, not just for mathematics, but for your holistic approach to teaching.
